Usage and Sound Quality

Let's dive right into my listening results!

Sound quality is where the money is and the ZAGG phones deliver a full rich sound with just the right mix of bass response and crisp highs. The ZAGG phones produce a fairly accurate reproduction of music without overbearing bass or tinny sounding high end. The mid range is also well represented without the mud sound of cheap headphones. We played several types of music through several devices to put the phones through their paces and each device sounded as good as the others.

First we hooked up the phones to a typical MP3 player and listened to Pink Floyd, The London Philharmonic Orchestra and Metallica to get a variety of sound to compare. The headphones performed well producing a very pleasing reproduction of the recordings. The next device was a typical home stereo system. Again, using the same music, the headphones gave us nothing to complain about as the sound was exactly the same. We finally ran the same sound test on a home computer and again had the same results. It is fair to say that these headphones produce a rich full sound that is bound to please.

Comfort

The other most important aspect of headphones is the comfort. To test the comfort we had five different individuals wear the headphones for thirty minutes each and then asked them to rate the comfort on a scale from 1-10, where 1 is uncomfortable and 10 is extremely comfortable, and here were the results:

It should be notied that users 1, 3 and 5 wear glasses and complained that the headphones began to hurt the back of their ears after a few minutes from the pressure on the earpiece of their glasses. Users 2 and 4 did not wear glasses and said they could probably wear the headphones longer without any complaints. I personally wear glasses also and I must say that any headphone is rather uncomfortable with glasses on, however these were no more so than any other I have used.

Overall, these are very good headphones for the price of $79.99 USD. They perform up to expectation for a sub-$100 pair of headphones, and deliver a rich full sound independent of whatever type of music you like listening to. They are as comfortable as over-the-head headphones can be and do a fair job of keep out the noise from the outside world.

Pros: Full rich sound, relatively comfortable, sturdy feel and comes with adapter, lifetime trade-in guarantee.

Cons: Not very comfortable for people with glasses.
