VIZO Xena Mini Laptop Cooler
|
|
A hot laptop is a laptop that crashes constantly or freezes up and possibly becomes damaged over time from the constant heat. The solution is to use a laptop cooler to keep the computer's temperature down to a manageable level and prevent damage to the components from heat. Some laptop coolers work better than others, some look nicer and some are more practical than others.
The VIZO Xena Mini is the latest 15.4” laptop cooler from VIZO, and it appears to fit the bill for all these categories. Let's take a closer look.
Design
The VIZO Xena miniis a small compact laptop cooler that fits easily into any laptop carrying case. It has rounded edges so it doesn't scratch your notebook or other peripherals you may carry in your case. This was one of the things we didn't like about VIZO's Ninja and Ninja HS coolers, both had sharp edges that could easily scratch your notebook computer. The Xena has a single 70mm fan that can be easily positioned where cooling is needed the most (typically where the processor is located inside the laptop).
The unit is powered by a USB port on the laptop computer and requires no other external power. You simply plug in the USB cable and the fan starts to spin. This is great for using it anywhere anytime, even on your lap. It has two rubber feet on the bottom at the front of the unit and two hinged risers at the rear that raise the device and the computer to an angle comfortable for typing. Aside from its small size and functionality, this is a very nice looking cooler compared to many others.
Setup
The setup of the Xena mini is extremely simple. To adjust the width of the cooler you simply pull the sides and they slide outward. You then slide the 70mm fan to the desired location and plug it into a USB port of your laptop - and that's it. You don't need any tools to set it up, and you don't need to plug in any AC power adapter. It's that easy.
