VIZO Ninja II Notebook Cooler
|
|
As today’s laptop computers get faster and more powerful they also unfortunately produce more heat. New developments in heatsink technology help to reduce the amount of heat but it is not always enough with high performance laptops. Heat can reduce overall performance and shorten the life span of electronic devices so what can you do to help reduce the amount of heat and prolong the life of your laptop? You can get a laptop cooler.
Laptop coolers are as different in design and performance as are laptops. Today I am using the VIZO Ninja II which is designed for 15”~17” notebook computers also supporting widescreen models. The Ninja II is a really nice looking device, all black with a silver mesh covering two 70mm fans in the upper center of the device. It is elevated and tilted toward the user which makes typing on a laptop actually easier. The Ninja II gets it’s power from the USB port of the laptop but the adapter used also provides a USB port so you do not lose the use of the ports for other devices.

Out of the Box Setup
The device is a piece of cake to set up and use. You simply plug in the USB adapter to the laptop computer and the other end into the power jack on the Ninja II and turn on the power switch. The laptop must be powered up and running in order for the Ninja II to receive power from the USB port. The laptop sits gently onto the Ninja II and there is a raised surface along the edge of the Ninja II to keep the laptop from sliding off the front end.
