The VIZO Arius EX 3.5” SATA HDD Rack is a quick and easy way to use a regular 3.5” HDD disk as a portable storage device or as a backup drive for easy data security. If there is any reason to quickly and easily remove a drive from your system, then the Arius EX may just be the product you need.
Design
The Arius EX is a hard drive rack that installs into any handy 5.25 inch bay drive and connects to your system using a power adapter cable and a regular SATA cable. Once installed you simply insert a drive and close the door as well as being able to lock the drive in place.
The drive rack has a lock for security and is hot swappable so you can remove drives without shutting down your system for a quick and easy way to transport data or backup your system. The drive removes with a simple flip of the door or installs by simply pushing in until the door starts to close and then push the door closed completely.
Installation and Setup
The Arius EX Rack comes complete with the rack itself, a SATA 15P Power cable, a SATA cable, mounting screws and directions. Four screws secure the rack inside your system in any available 5.25 inch drive bay and simply plug the power cable into the rack in two places and then plug into your systems power supply using a four pin Molex connection.
The SATA cable goes from the rack to your motherboard and you’re ready to use the Arius EX with or without a drive installed. The drive inserts and comes out easily for a quick way to have a removable drive with plenty of space for backing up data.

Performance and Usage Testing
The Arius EX is very easy to install and could not be simpler to use as well as having the convenience of being able to lock the drive in place. The Arius comes with two keys so you have a spare and could be the perfect solution for business use as well as home systems.
I really could not find a downside to the Arius EX for a quick and easy SATA HDD rack other than making sure you’re not actively using the drive when pulling it out. The Arius EX from VIZO is a great HDD rack for use with 3.5 inch hard drives to make swapping out drives simple and easy.

VIZO Ariux EX 3.5" HDD Rack
The Arius EX is a prime example of a product that does exactly what it was designed to do, and it does it very well. There’s a lot of pluses and really no minuses for this hard drive rack. Other than the fact that it’s not available at many online retailers, it’s a great component for any PC.
Pros: Quick and simple HDD rack, locking cover is useful, hot swappable, makes backing up or moving large amounts of data easy.
Cons: Not widely available, Make sure your drive is not reading or writing( I know, not much of a con but I really could not find anything else to mention!)
