Skullcandy has teamed up with Roc Nation (Jay-Z's music label) to design a series of new headphones dubbed the "Aviators". This isn't the first time we've seen this type of partnership - Beats by Dr. Dre sound familiar to anyone?
Available in your choice of three different colors - none of which is nearly as gaudy as typical Skullcandy designs (see pictures from our Ti headphones review for proof) - the Aviators sport a foldable design and 40mm full-range mylar drivers with neodymium magnets. Topped off with a tangle-free nylon cord and in-line mic and controls, these cans actually look pretty promising.Still no word on a price, though.
Retail price will be set at $150 USD, and we'll reserve any predictions on whether it will have much market appeal. The Aviators will be available sometime in June.
