Any thoughts about making a new list for 2010?

While off the $150 list, my father just bought the Samsung PX2370 23 inch widescreen LCD-LED backlit monitor. We shopped for two days online and in local stores to find a good deal. The market seems to know that we only want to spend $150!

For example, the ViewSonic’s VX2250WM-LED 22-Inch is a beautiful monitor with 1080p but you can only get it for $169 right now.

As soon as you look at the specifics of these monitors, their flaws become apparent in the sub $150 category. Keep an eye out for low resolution and weak monitor stands since they will quickly come back to haunt you after the purchase. :geek:

Good info, thanks for sharing rgathright! :)

That's a common headache with products in the "budget priced" category --- poor build quality (such as weak monitor stands) that will quickly make you wish you'd shelled out a few extra bucks for a higher-end model. But that's where reviews and community forums come in handy ... you can find out how well a product stands up to daily use and wear-and-tear.

I'd love to do an update to this list for 2010, just not sure I will have the time to do it. Lots of upcoming reviews and plenty of other site changes/tweaks I have on my to-do list in the mean time. If I do get around to updating this list for 2010, it will be closer to late fall/early winter.
