BFG keeps its new GTX 285 and 295 cards cool with self-contained water cooling
Not content to leave water cooling exclusively to the enthusiast market, BFG has introduced its GeForce GTX 285 H2O+ and GeForce GTX 295 H2OC cards. Both of the new graphics cards from BFG boast ThermoIntelligence Advanced Cooling Solutions - which is a fancy way of saying that they incorporate self-contained water cooling systems. Water cooling internal PC components is nothing new, but remains far from mainstream as most users can get by perfectly fine with only air cooling.
BFG boasts that the cards are completely maintenance free and will keep the GPUs 30°C cooler under load as compared to standard air cooled models. No mention of pricing yet, but Newegg.com should have the GTX 295 H2OC available today and the GTX 285 H2O+ available on August 12th. Considering the fact that many GTX 295 cards are already $500+, I can only imagine how much one of these babies will set you back.
If you're like me, your wallet couldn't handle the damage from purchasing one of these. So we'll just have to live with a pic of the video card and some specs to drool over:
