Up first is the current market leader - the Acer Aspire One, weighing in at $345.99.
Processor: Intel Atom 1.6Ghz
Storage: 160Gb Hard Drive, 1Gb RAM
Operating System: Windows XP
Battery Life: 7-8 hours
Display Size: 10.1”
The Aspire One has taken the netbook one step further and added a decent hard drive, a webcam and built in WiFi. It’s more a mini laptop than a netbook, but considering the price and the fact it only weighs three pounds including the battery, we don’t mind a bit! The screen is clear and bright and the keyboard is almost normal size, which helps a lot in the transition from standard laptops.
All in all, this is the current budget netbook to beat.
