About Top Review Shop
Why TopReviewShop.com?
When I began writing reviews in 2005 and started publishing them on TopReviewShop, I wanted to help others make better buying decisions. I wanted to share my experiences and my expertise with technology so that everyone could make an informed decision with their next technology purchase. And for nearly 7 years, this was the purpose of TopReviewShop and the site was able to help thousands of visitors.
But over the years, dozens of other review sites came online and they did the exact same thing. They reviewed computer hardware and MP3 players and headphones and all types of gadgets --- just like we did. They provided the same kind of expertise and real-world usage details that we did with our reviews. Lots of other websites, especially the enthusiast PC hardware sites, even provided more thorough testing and more detailed analysis than we could ever hope to provide. So I asked myself, why continue running TopReviewShop? Why should people visit TopReviewShop instead of these other review websites? Why should I continue to devote my time and energy to the website? Why should I ask my writers to spend their time and energy writing product reviews?
The answer came by looking back to the original reason that I started the website - to help others. But to help others in a much more meaningful and impactful way. With the growth of TopReviewShop over the years, the sponsored advertisements had started to generate income --- and so I thought to myself, why not use that money to bless others?
With that idea in mind, I started the Gadget Gifts initiative on January 1st, 2010 and since that date 100% of the money earned on TopReviewShop is donated to charity. Our content will continue to be focused on providing our visitors with detailed, unbiased reviews on PC hardware and consumer electronics --- but our purpose is to use TopReviewShop as a way to help others in need.
What do I believe?
I believe that every day is a gift from God, and every day is an opportunity to do good for others. We are called to love one another and to bless one another, not just whenever it is easy and convenient but instead to lift up others in everything that we do. This is why TopReviewShop exists.
Who is behind TopReviewShop?
I began reviewing products on well recognized computer and electronics websites DigitalTrends.com, Newsfactor.com and epinions.com. Now, outside of running TopReviewShop, I spend my time trying to keep up with my wife and two daughters.
