Ideazon Reaper Gaming Mouse

PC gaming has come a long way from the days of Solitaire, Minesweeperand Hearts. With the new fast paced 3D first person shooter games, better control means higher scores, more kills and greater frag counts. To compete at a high level, games like CounterStrike: Source and Doom3 require the use of precision optical or laser mouse. People like myself who really compete in these types of games are willing to pay extra money for a high quality mouse. Ideazon has introduced the Reaper - a high sensitivity optical mouse to entice the gaming crowd to try their out their new mouse. Read on as we take a close look at the Reaper to find out how it fares as a gaming mouse.
Design
The Reaper is a very slick looking high resolution mouse designed for precision work and gaming. The mouse sports a resolution of 1600 DPI and can be adjusted instantly to 800 or 400DPI on the fly. The high resolution allows for great control in first person shooter games and I have also found it to be quite handy in photo editing and graphic design.
The mouse has seven programmable buttons and, unlike other mice, all of these buttons can all be programmed to your specific taste. Even the standard left and right click buttons can be programmed to do different things. It has a scroll wheel and really sleek looking “Z” logo that lights up in red when the mouse is plugged in.
Features
Designed for First/Third Person Shooter and Action games, the Gaming Keyset provides a better gaming experience, advanced layout and built-in technology advantages. It comes loaded with a selection of mod files for over 70 of today's hottest games.

The software for the mouse allows you to set the resolution to switch on the fly from 1600 to 800 to 400 DPI or you can set it to switch between two settings for quick switching (like from 1600 to 800, 800 to 400, 1600 to 400 or any combination of two of the three settings). You can also set it to stay at a specific resolution as well and disable switching.

The keyboard also has a built-in USB hub with 2 ports for attaching other USB peripherals so you don't lose the use of your USB ports. Unfortunately, the USB ports are only USB 1.1 so you may want to make sure to leave a USB 2.0 port free for high speed USB devices. I would also mention that the Reaper is a USB 2.0 mouse, so you will want to use an available USB 2.0 port on the computer instead of plugging it into one of the ZBoard’s ports.
